Buying my books…
Uncommon Labels
Uncommon Labels is a chapbook that explores the labels I’ve been given and rejected, chosen and accepted. It was described by Sheff Herd as “an evocative interrogation of identity and the boxes we are so often forced into.”
We have 57 flavours of trauma, class, disability, being northern, a parent, a music nerd and an unfortunate habit of nearly dying. It’s also hopeful, life affirming and has a lot of obscure music references.
From August 2026 Written Off Publishing ceased trading which means my book is currently not available to purchase.
The Chip On My Shoulder is Gluten Free
This is my first book, The Chip On My Shoulder Is Gluten Free. It’s self-published and probably would have benefited from an editor, but it’s a diamond in the rough, I’m proud of it and I perform pieces from it often. It deserves a bit of love if you have any spare.
It’s a collection that includes my relationship with a possessive and determined Grim Reaper, and a different one with the equally determined boy I fell in love with. It features many musical nerdy shout outs, some more obvious than others, though no one has caught them all yet…
